ATLAS: The Swedish know how to make good music

Making good music is not a synonym of making music. It takes a lot of creativity, simplicity, love, sweat to do it. ATLAS are a proof of this theory. The Swedish band is without a shadow of doubt one of the best underrated acts out there nowadays. There's no huge amount of information about them online, because there's a group from New Zealand who had the idea of naming themselves "Atlas"... But this is not the reason of this article.

May the fourth be with you

Despite having an Indie character, their sound is very singular, which is a good thing, because nowadays we are used to non-unique music. But, again, this is not the purpose of this post.
ATLAS showcases guitars, brass instrumentals, charming lyrics. It's not everyday that we find a song that becomes our addiction. This is the case of "Things We Left Behind".

Nostalgic lyrics, pleasurable chord progression on the acoustic guitar, interesting story and video, snow, snow, snow... and soul. It's rare to find a video that really has a story in today's music universe. But ATLAS are the hope that we'll continue to have good songs and videos, instead of people shaking and showing their bodies all over (you know, today's rap scene, for example...). It is also the simplicity of "Things We Left Behind" and the transition between the calm beginning to the upbeat final that make it so addictive. Scandinavian minimalism is not only about your Ikea interior designs, it's also about what goes into your ears. Imagine cycling around the streets of Stockholm and listening to this beauty. There's no better sensation.

ATLAS proves that you don't need to go to the gym to improve your six-pack, nor talking about fake and boring things such as "booties" or drugs, but instead put your heart to the songwriting and remain minimalistic and true to yourself and your audience, whether it is the love of your life or your granny.
Here is their new album for you to enjoy and maybe become a fan:
