The Human League's "Don't You Want Me"
The Human League is a British synth-pop band best known for their song "Don't You Want Me", "Human", "Heart like a Wheel", "Fascinantion" and "Open Your Heart". This song is an awesome "thing" made with synthesizers. Combined with Philip Oakley's lovely voice and the power of synthesizers this is a dream song come true. Formed in the final of the 70s. They were originally a synth after-punk band from Sheffield, England, the formation of the band has changed throughout the years. Philip is the only "original" mamber of "The Human League". This tune is somehing that surely the fans of the 80s won't ever leave in the closet. This is an icon of the new wave/synth-pop generation. The listener can feel the power that synths have in "Don't You Want Me". This type of artists/bands were very common in the 80s. The UK was a "paradise" where these kind of bands could be found. This instrument started to become famous in the 60s/70s with the invention of Moog's modular synthesizers and then earned huge success until reaching the fame they have today, being used by bands like Cut Copy, Midnight Juggernauts, Tame Impala, etc..
